Every night, I sing my son a song. One night, he asked, “Can you sing ‘Boots’?” (I had no idea what he meant) “By Nancy Sinatra. The one about walking.” Although that wasn’t necessarily the inspiration for this sculpture, it certainly did make it easy to name.This piece is sculpted from a 10-cone clay, fired, and painted using acrylic paints (plus a good bit of the dust from the classroom at Santa Monica College, which really cemented the effect).
